This is a site where I post reviews of CDs, DVDs, LPs, and concerts. I have been writing music reviews on and off since 1984. I ran a heavy metal fanzine from 1984-1988 called Metal Madness and have been a staff writer for Aural Innovations for many years. I have also contributed to Chrohinga Well (RIP), Bad Acid (RIP), Lowcut (RIP), Roadburn and a number of other zines as well. I recently moved to Portugal so please request the new address and do not send any music to Denmark anymore. Tak..

A Band for All Seasons (Songs from the four seasons of Love 1966-1969) (Crustacean 87CD)
What can I say???
This is such an amazing release and features close to 4.5 hrs of music on 61
tracks. It features virtually everyone that has appeared on Fruits de Mer as
well as some new comers but if you know the label you will recognise most of
these acts.. The songs that people have chosen to cover are very diverse from
super obscure stuff like Drimble Wedge and the Vegetations and 101 Strings to
famous bands like Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Donavan, Small Faces, and the Beatles. Some people take risks (Carry Grace) and many
play pretty faithful versions of the originals….The 4th CD seems to have more
songs that are just single acoustic guitar and voice or at least less
instrumentation. The overall quality is amazing though and it really does take
you back in time and remind you of the quality of the song writing and the
originality that was possible in that era, before everything had been done or
tried! Fantastic and ambitious release. Check out a couple of tracks below. Check out the exclusive track by July. July Exclusive Track
