My year in Music 2025

This year was quite a struggle for me and not being able to post anything to the USA since early September has really hurt sales.. Anyway, despite the decrease in income and ability to put out more physical releases, a lot of great music was released in 2025 by my bands, collaborations and solo.. ØSC- Kozfest DVD  (OSC2024-LS021)

First release of the year and I fucked it up!! Sadly, the wrong mix of the audio was put in the DVD. So to really enjoy this the most you need to download the great audio mix from bandcamp.. It was a fun and cool show with a great line up and for sure worthy of a release with Vince Cory, Omar, me, Mogens, Jiri, Tim and Chris Purdon on the last jam and the dancer Rene, she danced with Hawkwind on the original Space Ritual tour in 1972!  Renee, the other dancer, she was in the audience as well. It was an honour...

Quasars of Destiny- Music to listen to while eating Planets CD (QOD001)

This was a fun album that I made with my cousin, Craig Wall. It was recorded in the summer of 2023 and is quite Pink Floyd inspired. We had a lot of very good reviews which is nice. Three long jams. CD has sold well for a brand new project and only about 10 copies left... See if we make another album someday. Never know...

Doctors of Space- Fusing your Synapses CD (DOS-009)

Martin Weaver and I were in good form on this one, which was a mixture of some of the heavy space rock stuff we did mixed with the electronic drum groove stuff and pure MOOG electronic space out stuff. I am really happy with the sound collage and took some risks with the mix to really challenge you at times, perhaps.

ØSC- Alotta hella down in the Estrela 2LP/2CD (SRP088) 

This was a very successful release and the fans really liked it a lot. The CD sold out pretty fast and the vinyl has done well also. I just love the artwork by David Graham as well. He did almost all of the covers from all the releases this year.  This has some pretty awesome jams on it and a great mix from Jonathan Segel..

ØSC- Espaço 2 (Bandcamp subscriber CD) (OSC2025-LS022)

This was the 2nd bandcamp subscriber release of the year and another more laid back and experimental in some ways 3 track album. I really have loved the wholetone jam but admit it is a bit strange at times but I just love the progression of it and the playing so cool... The CD sold out pretty fast.. Only 150 copies..

ØSC- Ode to a black Hole DVD (5.1 audio) SRP089DVD)

I am really happy that we finally managed to get this one out.  This is a nearly one our film of us playing the track in the studio. It was also my first attempt to do a 5.1 mix from my original stereo mix used on the CD and LP.  Jonathan Segel did the video editing of the two cameras and mixed in some interesting colours and effects for quite a psychedelic experience..  Pretty cool..

Nepal Death- Pilgrims & Psychonauts LP 

This is a fun and very cool Swedish band. I was honoured to be invited to provide some space sounds and backing vocals on this album. I appear on 3 tracks.  It is a great psychedelic rock album and I highly recommend it.  Hope to work with the guys more in the future...

Doctors of Space- Astral Sessions Vol 7 CD (DOS- AS007)

This one has been in the archive for quite some time and it was about time for another Astral Sessions Vol..  We had some trouble on the drum track on the opening track (sorry about that) but tried to make the best out of it. The rest of the album has some amazing jams and better sound. Martin plays some amazing guitar solos. Wow.. You can also get a bundle of Vol 5-7 for a great price on bandcamp..

Dr Space- Music for Italian Restaurants of Neptune CD (DS2025-001) 

I had not put out a solo album this year but these sessions were pretty interesting and capture the dr live in the studio. These were the same pieces I played at the Italian Restaurant (every table was taken!) in March 2025 but with better sound than my actual performance. I am not used to playing solo shows but am up for doing it some more. We will see.

Aural Hallucinations- Flocking to the Nozone CD (AH003)

This was a long time coming, Matt Couto (Kind, Ex-Elder), making music together in the same room.  This was the best of the pieces we recorded over two days.  It is a bit challenging music but a lot of moods are explored in this experimental music project...  CDs are available.  Once again, Matt made the cover art picture..

ØSC- Jamvofrijonia CD (OSC2025-LS023) 

This is another bandcamp subscriber CD and the first material from the ØSC studio session from December 2024.  It is one long jam with a lot of cool and interesting parts.  The CD sold out quite fast...  A lot more to come from this session in 2026. My old friend Doug Siegel did the original painting.

I have known Don for some years now and we talked about making some music and it was great to be able to contribute to this album. If you are in Tampere, they are going to have a show on Dec 28th with a lot of the people that perform on this record, but sadly, I can not be there..

3rd Ear Experience- Twilight Sutra 2LP/CD (SRP090)

I am very proud that we could release this on our record label, Space Rock Productions.  IT is an epic 90min space rock ballet piece split in 17 parts.  I was very happy to also play on it and I am mixed in different parts here and there.  One of my fave releases of the year. For sure check it out.. Epic...
