Dope Calypso- Mau Mau (Draze Records DRAZE 003)

Dope Calypso is a indie rock trio with the occasional 60s slant from Hungary.  They recorded their record in Italy in 2006. The band writes some pretty good songs, all very short and some with a 60s style organ others just guitar, bass and drums.  It is not really my thing as it is a bit too mainstream indie rock. The band is coming and doing a week long tour in Portugal in October, some of you might be interested to check them out. The record is limited to 222 copies and includes a A3 poster. The artwork is really cool on this album, as is the poster.
