Journey to the Sorcerer 7” (Fruits de Mer Records Crustacean 74)

Also known as the Fruits de Mer Records guide to the hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy.. Yes.. 3 bands doing the same but very different versions of the song, Journey to the Sorcerer featured in the intro to the UK TV series. Astralasia starts things off with a drum machine and keyboard oriented version.  Icarus Peel do a completey different and very laid back and spacey version until the end part where there is some great guitar playing. Cool stuff… Blues Giant Zeta Puppies play their version kind of like a mix of the first two bands. Also enjoyable. Here the original version below!!

The 7” also comes with a CD with The Eagles, Quantum Surf Rocket Garage Dolls, Pete Bingham (Sendelica) and Astralasia bonus tracks!  It did not come with the promo so, I can’t comment further on this stuff. Sorry…
